Malka Masur Dal offering
great taste, awesome flavour and goes well with rice and chapattis along with
any seasonal dry vegetables. Light pink in
colour as uncooked and turn yellow when cooked. The best thing about Malka Masur Dal is time. It takes only few minutes to make it and is the
best choice when you are in hurry.
Ingredients
- 1 cups malka dal
- 4 cups water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 chopped onions
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 1-7 chopped garlic seeds
- 1 chopped ginger root
- 2 chopped chillies, for spicy taste
- Salt to taste
- Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Preparing Dal
- Wash dal properly two to three times in water.
- Put the dal in pressure cooker
- Add water to add
- Mix Turmeric powder and salt to taste
- Cook for 10 to 15 minutes till two whistles
Preparing Tadka for Malka Dal
- Add ghee to a pan
- Put Butter (Ghee) in a pan.
- Add cumin seeds and (hing) to heated ghee
- Add green chillies to it
- Fry chopped garlic, onions, ginger in the pan till it turns brown in colour
- Then add chopped tomatoes fry for sometime a minute, till tomatoes turn gravy.
- Put the tadka in dal.
- Take out dal in a serving utensil
- Garnish it with Green coriander leaves
- Serve with Desi ghee
